If a woman mentions another guy and pretends she wants your input she is either:

1. Being a self-indulgent user of your foolish good nature.
2. Simply exhibiting poor dating skills.
3. She losing it.
   

How do you react when she uses you as her crying shoulder?

Set her straight immediately.

That is what I do.

Try this.

1. I'm not the person to talk about this thing.

2. Don't you have girlfriends to talk to?( don't use bestfriends as she may refer you as one. But I manage to counter that by saying (1) above. Learnt from mistake.)

3. Well. Why don't you go find that guy if you worried so much.

If she says about it the second third time,

4. Gosh. Not your ex again...

She hugged me, apologised and never ever mention it ever to me. =)

These takes some balls, usually go against the majority mindset of being a gentlemen but at least

you don't make yourself a jackass.
